Terms of Use for doRAG

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of doRAG, a platform for creating and managing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) chatbots, developed by the Qatar Computing Research Institute ("QCRI"), a part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University, which is itself a part of the Qatar Foundation. By accessing or using doRAG, including signing up with an email/password, logging in with Google, or accessing a chatbot via a shared link, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access doRAG.

Registration and Access

  • doRAG offers multiple access options, including signing up with an email/password and logging in with Google. You agree that all information you provide to access doRAG is accurate and current.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer or mobile device. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.

Usage Requirements

  • doRAG is intended for informational purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for professional advice.

  • You agree to use doRAG in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

  • You agree not to use doRAG in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the service or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of it.

  • You are responsible for the content you upload to doRAG, including documents, files, and website URLs. You must have the necessary rights and permissions to use such content.

Content

  • All content generated by chatbots built on doRAG is for general information purposes only. QCRI and the Qatar Foundation do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided.

  • Chatbot responses are generated using retrieval-augmented generation and may not always reflect the most current or accurate information from the uploaded sources.

Confidentiality, Security, and Data Protection

  • doRAG is designed with data protection and security measures in place. However, QCRI and the Qatar Foundation cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted through doRAG.

  • You acknowledge that any information or material you upload to doRAG, including documents and chatbot interactions, may be accessible by QCRI, the Qatar Foundation, and their affiliates for the purpose of improving the service.

Terms and Termination

  • These Terms will remain in full force and effect while you use doRAG. QCRI and the Qatar Foundation reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to doRAG at any time without notice for any reason, including, without limitation, breach of these Terms.

  • Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Limitation of Liability

You expressly understand and agree that your use of doRAG is at your sole risk and that QCRI, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, and the Qatar Foundation shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses resulting from the use or inability to use doRAG.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Qatar, and any disputes arising from them shall be resolved in the courts of Qatar.
